Photographing Hotels - Interior and architecture photography

A big job this week photographing a new Darwin hotel built and owned by Halikos, called H105. 11 hours photographing over 2 days. A big hotel and big job. The photography was the fun bit the four days processing the images the hard. Shooting in small rooms is a nightmare because of the distortion from using a very wide lens. There was a nasty green colour cast also from the ceiling lights which generated plenty to do in post production. I used a couple of flash to lighten dark areas and add a highlight for depth, usually the flash as far forward as possible. Even though the ceiling lights created a nasty colour cast I left them on because of the ambiance they created, being fully aware that I would have to balance the colour in post production.
